This is how I draw...

I would like to give all of you a little insight in how I like to make my drawings. The most important part is of course the sketch book. I always star with a pencil drawing. When a sketch is finished I usually use tracing paper on which I use fine liners with different widths to copy the drawing. I could also use the fine liners on the paper in the sketch book and then erase the pencil lines, but I rather like to keep the original sketch. After that I copy the line drawing on to a white piece of A4 paper. The paper I use is extra thick, so that it can absorb the colors of the markers without going all wobbly. When A drawing is completely colored in I scan it and sometimes I add a background in Photoshop before uploading it to DA.

I've made some color cards to remind me which markers to use with all the different MLP characters. That's why I have over a 100 different colors already. :-D

This picture was made at the end of the summer. I really like to sit outside in the sun when I'm drawing. Unfortunately here in Holland it's already to cold to do that, so I'll have to draw inside the house for the next 6 months... I can't wait until it's time for the next Winter Wrap Up.
